How does hotel check in look like?

What to know about hotel check in?

  • ID card/passport,
  • payment card/cash.

The amount of authorized money on the payment card or cash deposit depends. If the guest wants to use extra services and has all payments (e.g room, minibar, restaurant) at the one hotel bill receipt, the amount of the deposit will include the price of all stay, plus some amount to cover other expenses. Of course, if the guest did not spend all the money blocked, it is going to be returned. The last thing during the hotel check in, is giving the guest room key/ card. At this point, the receptionist should inform the guest about all hotel facilities, breakfast possibilities, check out time, and how to get into the room.

Check-in at the front desk is possible at a specific hotel check in time. Usually, it is 2 pm or 3 pm. The latest time of check in depends on the hotel. Many hotels have 24-hour reception, so there is no need to worry about arrival time. Late check in hotel is something very common, especially in high-range hotels.
