Opinion Hotel f1 Paris Saint-Ouen – should you stay there?

If you wonder about cheap accommodation in Paris, maybe you are considering an F1 hotel. How to know is it a good choice if you have never stayed there? I will help you to make up your mind. Based on my personal experience in Hotel F1 Saint-Ouen Paris, I will describe you pros and cons of the stay, room, bathroom, amenities, check-in, and check-out at Hotel F1 Paris.

Advantages of Hotel F1 Paris Saint-Ouen

I can mention three main advantages of Hotel F1 Saint-Ouen Paris:

  1. Firstly, the location. You have a few different options to choose from to get there. From the hotel F1 Saint-Ouen metro station is located around 500 meters, where you can take metro line 13 at “Porte de Saint-Ouen”. As well there are two other metro stations located around 1 km from the F1 hotel: “Porte de Clignacourt” (metro line 4), and “Saint-Ouen” (metro line 14, and RER train).

Hotel F1 Paris Saint-Ouen is located only 5 km away from the city center. Therefore, If you like to walk you can save money on public transport tickets, and get to attractions such as Louvre or Notre Dame Cathedral in 1 hour on foot. Meanwhile, you can visit Moulin Rouge, as it is on the way. At the same time, you can go to Arc de Triomphe if you go in another direction from the F1 hotel.

  1. The low room price is definitely one of the main advantages of Hotel F1 France. If you are looking for a single/double room in Paris but do not want to spend too much money, hotel F1 Paris is a good choice. It is hard to find better rooms with lower prices in Paris than this one.
  2. Last but not least is hotel service. Staff members are nice and helpful, and rooms and shared areas are kept clean.

Disadvantages of Hotel F1 Saint-Ouen Paris

A few things can be considered disadvantages of the Hotel F1 Paris Saint-Ouen. The first one is ongoing, the other two can be just accidental in my personal case.

  1. The main disadvantage of Hotel F1 Saint-Ouen Paris is the noise. The place is located next to the high traffic street. It can be problematic if you are a person who needs a quiet environment. As well, the room door makes a noise when you shut them, and sometimes it is annoying when you hear someone going out and in the room all the time. However, F1 hotel applies the rule of quiet time after 10 pm, and I did sleep well during my stay.
  2. Second thing is the lack of e-mail communication. I sent a message to the Hotel F1 Paris Saint-Ouen one week before my check-in date and did not get any reply.
  3. Last thing is the lack of possibility to make coffee or tea. There is a coffee/tea machine available in the lobby, however, it was not working during my two-night stay. This is a completely understandable situation, as it is normal that something can break. I hope that F1 Hotel repaired it as soon as possible and you will be able to get a hot beverage during your stay.

Stay at Hotel F1 France

The stay in Hotel F1 Saint-Ouen Paris is good for the price you need to pay and there are no considerable problems. You can expect fast check-in and check-out, a nice room, and a comfortable bathroom. There is breakfast served as well, however, I did not buy it, therefore I can
not share my opinion about the food.

Check-in Hotel F1

The check-in at Hotel F1 is done quickly and professionally. You can check in for 2 pm, however, I came 15 minutes earlier and there was no problem to check in earlier. What is important, is the receptionist speaks English, therefore you do not need to worry if you speak French poorly or not at all. As well, you get all information you need to know, where is the elevator, how to get to the room etc.

During check-in at Hotel F1, you do not get any room key or card but the code. This is a very nice solution because you do not have to be afraid that you will lose a room key, and you do not need to take it with you e.g. to the bathroom. You just need to remember or note the opening room door code.

Check out Hotel F1

The check-out at Hotel F1 is very quick. If you already paid for your stay, you just leave the hotel. You do not need to make check out at Hotel F1 at the reception because you do not even have any room key to give back. Of course, if you did not use extra paid services, otherwise you need to go to the front office to pay and check out at Hotel F1. The check-out time is 12 pm.

F1 hotel room

There are a few types of rooms in the F1 hotel. You may choose between e.g. a double room with a private bathroom, a double room with a shared bathroom, room for 3 or 6 people. I have chosen a private double room with a shared bathroom. The room size is small but enough to freely move. There is a comfortable queen bed, table, TV screen, Wi-Fi, and modern washbasin. The room looks nice, is tidy, and has stylish wall decorations, you can feel good there.

The bathroom at Hotel F1 Saint-Ouen Paris is big and clean. There are few shower cabins and few toilets. You do not need to wait to take a shower or use a toilet. Every cabin is completely isolated, so you can easily keep your privacy and feel comfortable. The shower cabin is big and includes an area to put your stuff and hang your clothes and towels. So you can comfortably take the shower and take off/on your clothes inside the cabin, without the risk that someone will see you. You need to have your own soap, shower gel, and shampoo, as the hotel bathroom does not provide them. There is no hair dryer available as well.

Summary Hotel F1 Paris – yes or no?

To sum up, Hotel F1 Paris Saint-Ouen is innovative, well-located, and offers good service for a low price. It is a good place if you are looking for a budget solution for a short stay in Paris.
